EU countries are not planning to impose centralised restrictions on Russian oil supplies, as Germany, Austria and Hungary have threatened to block such a decision if it is put to a vote, European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel said.
“It will be very difficult to achieve unity in the EU on the issue of rejecting Russian oil or increasing duties on it, because some member states have already said they would veto any collective decision,” he was quoted as saying by Le Figaro newspaper.
Earlier, Le Pen urged Europe not to impose an embargo on Russian oil and gas.
