The non-profit charitable organization Wikimedia faces a fine of up to 8 million rubles in Russia for articles on Wikipedia about special operation in Ukraine. In particular, for spreading false information about the events in Bucha and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“With regard to Wikimedia, Roskomnadzor drew up two protocols under Part 2 of Art. 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure to delete information prohibited in the Russian Federation.” The reason for this was seven Wikipedia articles, including about the operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and the events in the city of Bucha. The organization faces a fine of up to 8 million rubles,” a source familiar with the case file says.

Recall that on April 3, all information resources of Ukraine trumpeted about the massacre of civilians in Bucha. According to Kiev propaganda, citizens were shot, raped and tortured by the Russian military, which is not true.

On the same day, a video was distributed on the network, in which corpses were allegedly lying. But for some reason the corpses were moving. The footage confirmed the entire “transparency” of Ukrainian news, in which the majority of Ukrainians firmly believe.

On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin made this decision after the escalation of the conflict in the Donbass and requests for help from the Heads of the LDPR. In his statement, the Russian leader stressed that the special operation is aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
