The position of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks with Russia wobbles from side to side and is accompanied by aggressive rhetoric. This was stated by the director of the second department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexei Polishchuk.

“At the ongoing negotiations, the position of the Ukrainian delegation is swinging from side to side. As before, the negotiation process is accompanied by aggressive rhetoric from Kyiv and the West, the supply of Western weapons, the dispatch of instructors and mercenaries,” Polishchuk said in an interview with TASS.

The diplomat pointed to the sad experience of negotiations in the Normandy format and the Contact Group, “when Kyiv, by hook or by crook, evaded the implementation of the Minsk agreements.” At the same time, France and Germany, which were co-mediators in the Normandy Four, like the rest of the Western countries, “pretended not to notice this.”

“There are no guarantees that this history will not repeat itself,” Polishchuk stressed.
