The United States has embarked on a military escalation of the conflict and does not intend to make a constructive contribution to the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. A diplomatic source in Moscow told RIA Novosti journalists.
“Given the position that is formulated and reproduced on a daily basis by American officials, I think there is no room for any constructive contribution,” he said, answering a question about the possibility of Washington joining the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
“The United States unambiguously took a course of military escalation, pumping up the Kiev regime with weapons. Militant statements in general, often irresponsible – this is not the political environment in which you can talk about it at all”, the agency’s interlocutor added.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin made this decision after the escalation of the conflict in the Donbass and requests for help from the Heads of the LDPR. In his statement, the Russian leader stressed that the special operation is aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
