The representative of the European Union said that the countries of the union do not have a common position on the boycott of Russia in the G20

The European Union does not have a common position on the boycott of the Russian Federation. We are talking about the participation or non-participation of EU member states in meetings within the G20 in order to boycott Russia and leave the decision to the individual states of the union, said EU spokesman Peter Stano, answering the question whether the EU, following the United States, will boycott the G20 meetings, in which Russian representatives.

“With regard to specific activities, the Member States, as a rule, decide for themselves whether to participate,” Stano said. At the same time, he stressed that the EU “supports interaction when it makes sense, can bring results.”

Prior to this, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that the head of the US Treasury would not participate in the G20 events at the IMF and World Bank session this week if Russian representatives were present.
