The UK has decided to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the United States. The London court has already issued a corresponding warrant.
The Westminster Magistrates’ Court has already processed all the documents necessary to transfer the journalist to the Americans. This is reported by TASS, referring to the statement of the court.
Assange is accused of revealing classified information. He published it on his website WikiLeaks. Washington wants to imprison him for 175 years. Now the decision on the transfer of the journalist will be made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, Priti Patel.
At the same time, Assange’s defense can still appeal to the High Court in London. If the head of the British Foreign Office decides to transfer the journalist to Washington, he has a chance to challenge such a chance. However, given the attitude of the West towards him, he is unlikely to succeed.
