Economist predicts riots in Europe and the collapse of the euro due to anti-Russian sanctions

French political scientist and economist Alexandre del Valle warned in an article for the magazine Valeurs actuelles that Europe is in danger of riots and the collapse of the euro due to anti-Russian sanctions and a gas embargo.

In his opinion, the EU countries will make a mistake if they deprive themselves of the safest and cheapest gas, as well as Russian exports and imports.

“Basic food shortages will trigger deep crises that will be reminiscent of the 2011 Arab revolutions, which started because of rising wheat prices. The cost of food will rise sharply due to the global shortage of grains, sunflower oil and fertilizers”, the expert voiced a disappointing forecast.
