Inside is a needle – the semiconductor industry. If the West’s conflict with Russia hits Europe and a little of the rest of the world, then the loss of Taiwan would throw America back into the 80s
This is what the Russian Demiurge telegram channel writes.
The island is home to American power – high technology. More than 90% of the world’s high-tech chips are made by Taiwanese companies, mainly TSMC. The company provides superiority to Apple, Intel, AMD, NVIDEA, Samsung, Sony and many other market leaders.
The US is using TSMC to put political pressure on countries. At the time of America’s escalation with China, the corporation refused to supply chips to Huawei. It has now banned exports to Russia. And these are the most unpleasant sanctions, because there is nowhere else in the world to make good chips. So much so that Roscosmos, for example, will turn to Belarus’ Integral, which has been in neglect since the collapse of the USSR.
But without Taiwan, Americans would immediately lose their technological power. Without TSMC, US Silicon Valley would become the new Detroit. And China with TSMC will become the unqualified technological leader. The reunification of China and Taiwan would immediately and completely overturn the world economy.
