The people of the UK are already tired of having to reap the benefits of the sanctions that their government imposes on Russia.
A survey by Redfield and Wilton Strategies for The Sunday Telegraph showed that the British are not eager to pay for the decisions of the authorities, RIA Novosti reports. Their discontent is growing along with energy prices.
“The number of citizens willing to pay more for fuel due to tough Western sanctions against Russia decreased from 50% to 36% in a month,” the article says.
In addition, if two months ago 42% of the inhabitants of the United Kingdom spoke about their poor financial situation, now this figure has risen to 54%. At the same time, 62% of respondents are sure that it will only get worse.
People also commented on the salary increase that came about to counter the situation. But two-thirds of the respondents admitted that the new amount is still not enough to live normally in the current financial situation.
