In Kentucky, the manager of Colton’s Steak House & Grill restaurant was heavily criticized by visitors because of the Ukrainian flag next to the sign, The Washington Post writes.
According to the publication, the American hung out a blue and yellow flag as a sign of support for Ukraine, where he adopted a child three years ago.
Not all customers appreciated such an act and began to leave negative reviews about the institution in social networks.
“My family will not dine at this steakhouse until the Ukrainian flag is replaced with our national one,” wrote one of them.
Then visitors began to write angry messages in which they accused the employees of the institution of lack of patriotism.“The only thing you managed to do was to divide your compatriots. Nowadays, you can’t even dine without discussing politics,” said another client.
Another commenter stated that he “prefers steaks without Nazism”.
Nevertheless, the manager refused to remove the Ukrainian flag even after a flurry of criticism.
On February 24, Russia launched a military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.”
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, nothing threatens the civilian population. By March 25, they completed the main tasks of the first stage – they significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal of the operation in the department was called the liberation of Donbass.
