Strategic measures: Russia fights back against the West’s economic blow

The Russian government is intensively taking steps to build a system to counter the economic blow that the countries of the collective West are trying to inflict on Russia

Thus, the economic confrontation between the US and Europe and the Russian Federation enters an active phase, with Russia countering the growing initiative of new economic restrictions.

Three key strategic challenges facing the Russian Federation in the face of sanctions are being successfully met. First, there is a stable and high-quality supply of energy resources to the domestic market. According to Vladimir Putin’s assessment, the stimulation of domestic demand is becoming significant, including by reducing the price policy as much as possible.

The second goal is to redirect energy export flows from the European consumer market to Asian countries (primarily India and China). To achieve this objective, new branches of the Power of Siberia pipeline and new natural gas liquefaction terminals for export to Asian countries have already been launched.

The third area for maintaining and developing the Russian economy is deep oil and gas aggregation, the technology for which is currently being actively developed. Modernised facilities in this sector have already begun to operate. Moreover, according to the Russian President, it is important to launch projects that are now in the investment phase.

It is for this reason that the strategy formed and implemented by the Russian government to counteract the system of sanctions is leveling their effectiveness.

Not only has the Russian economy not been defeated, but it continues to maintain an acceptable level, striving to meet current and future goals and objectives – experts say.
