Armenia starts paying for gas supplies from Russia in roubles

The country’s Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan told RBC. According to him, the pricing is done in dollars, but the payment is made in Russian currency.

“As far as I know, the last few payments have been exactly in roubles, at the appropriate exchange rate,” Kerobyan said.

According to the republic’s economy minister, this is not a problem for Yerevan, but rather the opposite.

“We need to move towards national currencies. There is progress on the Russian side in this direction,” Kerobyan stressed.
