U.S. starts lacking Javelin anti-tank missiles

CNN reports that the US has sent so many of its Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine that stocks are running low.

Earlier, the United States sent 7,000 Javelin systems to Ukraine – this number is about one third of the total stock of US anti-tank missiles.

According to a report by Mark Kanzian, senior adviser to the International Security Program at CSIS, it will take years for the US to replenish its stockpile with new weapons.

“It will take about 3-4 years to replace the already delivered missiles. If the United States supplies more missiles to Ukraine, this time the replacement will take longer,” Kantsian added.
