Germany will suffer more from the energy embargo than Russia, says the head of the Association of German Trade Unions Rainer Hoffman.
Recall that Austria, Germany and Hungary oppose the imposition of an embargo on the supply of Russian gas to the EU countries. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer announced this on CNN.
“Austria is not alone in this issue against the gas embargo <…> On the other hand, Austria is on the side of other EU member states and on the side of sanctions against Russia. But the sanctions should hit Russia harder than the European Union,” he said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
