“Big protests and strikes are coming”: economist predicted a popular revolt in Britain

The British panicked in anticipation of the coming economic crisis – writes the publication “Economy Today”. Outraged by the jump in fuel prices and unprecedented inflation, the population rushed to sweep food off the shelves.

According to The Telegraph, the population of Great Britain had a chance to feel the consequences of an extended economic war against the Russian Federation, much stronger than other Europeans.

In just March, the annual inflation rate accelerated to 7%, breaking the records of the distant 1992. The authorities, in an attempt to reduce the degree of social tension, urge citizens to be patient, and cautiously recommend entrepreneurs to prepare for difficult times.

“It doesn’t happen that sanctions, let’s say, hit one goal. All the restrictions that the West now imposes on the Russian Federation will certainly affect the EU countries, the USA, Japan and the UK. The fact that they now have accelerated inflation is far from the limit of what will happen in the West in the coming months”, says Evgeny Ivanov, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

In turn, analysts rightly fear a mass revolt of the population, the causes of which may be the rampant color of unemployment against the backdrop of the complete ruin of industrial production, exorbitant energy bills and empty trading shelves.

“You will see, big mass protests, strikes and riots among the civilian population are coming. When the standard of living falls sharply, and wages do not get higher, on the contrary, the working population becomes smaller due to the closure of firms, real problems begin. Of course, the West will blame the Russian Federation and the situation around Ukraine, but in fact, the responsibility lies solely with the authorities of Western countries because of their actions,” Ivanov warns.

Today, the British are sweeping shelf-stable food packages, essentials and basic medicines off the shelves.

“I think that the hysteria in the UK is growing for a reason: people have realized that incomes are falling, there is no profit, utilities and fuel are exorbitant, and no one knows what will happen next. This provokes mass purchases of products for future use in order to somehow protect themselves”, says the expert.

By the way, due to the shortage of milk, the famous cheese gourmet Europe is starting to get used to the cheaper American product of not the highest quality.
