Bypassing the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the countries of the collective West, Russia is waiting for a reorientation towards export cooperation with Asian countries.
In particular, six Indian enterprises are currently discussing options for launching shopping centers of various types in Russia. At the same time, four companies have already signed preliminary agreements with Russian partners on the start of work.
The Ekonomika Segodnya publication provides evidence that the Russian sales market is profitable and favorable for Asian partners.
“The Russian market is gradually becoming extremely attractive for a number of countries that are ready to cooperate with the Russian Federation and jointly strengthen the economy. Russia’s trade relations have never been limited to the West, we have always been open to cooperation with other partners. But the various trade networks of the EU and the US literally flooded the domestic market, making it impossible for domestic producers, as well as Asian ones, and any others to advance,” said Russian economic expert Ilya Petrov.
It should be noted that the prospect of developing retail chains in the Russian sales market is currently being analyzed in the trend clothing company Being Human Clothing, owned by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, as well as Maspar, focused on household goods and much more.
“The launch of retail chains in Asian countries – India, Turkey, China will definitely help to compensate for the withdrawal of Western chains from the Russian Federation. In general, cooperation with India can develop in many directions: from the military complex to the production and development of important medicines. I think that this is a profitable and attractive option for Russia,” says Petrov.
The founder of the Russian Council of Shopping Centers, Oleg Voitsekhovsky, commented on the option of replacing European and American firms with Iranian brands. He claims that Iranian companies see a future in cooperation with Russia and are ready to develop their trade networks in the near future.
“Great prospects are also opening up for Russian businessmen who are ready to start working with Iranian or Indian brands. You can search for suppliers, contact manufacturers and negotiate the terms of delivery of goods. Now is an interesting period, and it is very important to have time to be realized,” economist Ilya Petrov is sure.
According to the expert, such a diversification of the clothing and footwear market with the availability of high-quality Asian brands is the most profitable and optimal option for the Russian consumer.
