Japan is afraid of being left without Russian coal

Not only the European Union, but also some other states unfriendly to Russia will suffer from a possible embargo on Russian energy resources.

In particular, we are talking about Japan, which risks its economy in case of refusal of coal from Russia. This is reported by the publication “Izvestia”, referring to Asahi.

Japanese journalists warn that their country needs coal from the Russian Federation. Last year it was purchased for 3.5 billion US dollars. Too much depends on this resource to give it up so easily.

“Coal is used not only in energy, but also in the production of iron. World prices for it have already skyrocketed, and when changing the supplier, there is a risk of an increase in the price of electricity and an increase in the costs of enterprises. The government must determine how this will affect the economy and develop effective mitigation measures,” experts warn.

Recall that earlier Czech experts spoke about a possible ban on the supply of Russian nuclear fuel. This will leave about 100 million people in Europe without electricity.
