“Bite off a piece of Ukraine”: expert calls conditions for NATO intervention in the Ukrainian issue

A number of European countries, such as Poland or Romania, can hardly restrain themselves from the desire to take part in the Ukrainian confrontation, in order to finally bite at least a piece of its territory, military expert Viktor Baranets believes.

The expert named several conditions under which the North Atlantic Alliance can allow its own military intervention in the conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

The expert voiced his opinion in the wake of the statement of the Secretary General of the alliance
Jens Stoltenberg, who did not rule out the unleashing of a “big war” with the participation of the European community.

The military bloc may well intervene after the forces of Ukrainian militants concentrated in the Donbas region are completely defeated, the central part of the country will be under the control of the Russian Federation and there will be talk about the advancement of the Russian military in a western direction. Then, according to experts, the appetites of comrades interested in the Ukrainian lands will wake up.

“That’s when they will say to Biden: “Since we lost, let me bite off a piece of Ukraine. And let’s, in order to forestall Russian troops, send our troops to Western Ukraine,” Baranets believes.

Russia does not set as its goal the battle for these territories, the expert emphasized.
