Latvia has paid the price for sanctions: 250 thousand people out of work

In Latvia, the closure of road haulage in Russia and Belarus will put between 200 thousand and 250 thousand people out of work.

The head of the association of freight forwarders Latvijas auto, Alexander Potseluiko, said that the closure of road transport in Russia and Belarus would put thousands of people out of work in Latvia.

The border closure will affect not only chauffeurs, but also related businesses – repair shops and warehouses. On the whole, it could affect 200 thousand to 250 thousand people in Latvia, said the head of the association.
