Russian Ambassador to the United States urged the West to stop pumping weapons to Ukraine

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that Western countries should stop adding fuel to the fire, or rather stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.

“It is extremely important that Western countries stop adding fuel to the fire by pumping weapons into the Kyiv regime,” Antonov said at a conference hosted by the International Schiller Institute.

Antonov stressed that there is a “clear need” for the West to urge Ukraine to comply with international humanitarian law.

On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin made this decision after the escalation of the conflict in the Donbass and requests for help from the Heads of the LDNR. In his statement, the Russian leader stressed that the special operation is aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

The Russian Armed Forces do not shoot at civilians and civilian infrastructure. The Russian army strikes only at the military infrastructure and the Ukrainian army. The forces of the RF Armed Forces have already managed to significantly reduce the combat potential of Ukraine.
