Russian politician advises officials to visit Donbass before commenting the special operation in Ukraine

Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrei Turchak advised officials to visit the Donbass, and only after that to give evaluative comments on what is happening. The politician noted that during the First World War in Petrograd “there were different points of view on what was happening on the fronts.”

Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak said that Russian officials must visit the Donbas without fail, and only then give their comments about what is happening there.

“At a time like now, every word of a public person from power is a weapon more terrible than Caliber. I propose that the Moscow stands be taken to the Donbass without fail, to show civilians and our fighters so that they listen directly, for enlightenment”, Turchak wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to him, “when the comments of officials give rise to a lot of questions instead of clarity, this is not normal.”

“Significant losses, what are they? What are the minor ones? And eight years of victims of the Donbass genocide – was it just a tragedy for us? And now a huge tragedy?” – said the Secretary of the General Council of the party.

Andrei Turchak recalled that during the First World War in Petrograd “there were different points of view on what was happening on the fronts.”

“One of the most popular and destructive memes of those years, authored by a prominent politician Milyukov: “What is this – stupidity or betrayal?”. The results of these memes and the political discord in the authorities then led everyone knows what: a destroyed country, millions of victims and occupation, a lost war and the beginning of a civil one”, Turchak concluded.
