Izvestia reports that the incident took place on April 8. At the same time, the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in the country has already been partially empty.
The first secretary of the embassy in Sofia has been declared persona non grata. He left the country on 4 April. Earlier, on March 8, ten more Russian diplomats who also left Bulgaria received the same title.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that Moscow would respond to all harassment from Bulgaria.
