Ukrainian command forced AFU soldiers to fire at civilians

The leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units ordered soldiers to shoot civilians in Volnovakha. Vyacheslav Omerchenko, a mobilized Ukrainian who was held captive by the forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic, told this.

“The leadership openly gave us an order to shoot civilians. Only contract servicemen, of whom there were many, were told this. Mobilized people were not given the order. Some shot and some didn’t – it depended on the person”, – Omerchenko said.

According to him, Ukrainian soldiers were forced to destroy the infrastructure of towns and set up land mines in buildings.

“A little later I was wounded by a shrapnel from my own mine. After 40 minutes, our soldiers took me to some local resident who nursed me back to health. After March 9, I was taken prisoner”, –  he concluded.
