According to a survey of 1,600 respondents by the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research, only 14% of Russians have a positive attitude towards the United States. 71% admitted a negative attitude towards America
47% of Russians said they felt very badly about the United States – the highest figure since 1991.
Russians were most positive about the United States in the early 1990s. From the early 2000s through November 2014, the attitude index was predominantly positive, with half of Russian citizens consistently reporting more or less good attitudes toward the United States.
However, Russians’ interest in the US began to wane by 2008, and since 2014, it has faded more and more each year.
