Germany has warned of an imminent increase in tariffs for electricity and gas. This was told in the largest energy company of Germany E.ON-Deutschland Philip Ton.
Its subscribers are about 14 million consumers, the Krasnaya Vesna news agency reports, citing Ton’s conversation with the newspaper of the RND editorial group.
He said that the company has not raised tariffs for the past two years, and sometimes even lowered them. However, now the price of gas has increased 20 times, and electricity – eight times. The company’s management promises to mitigate the likely damage, but now Ton cannot say how much the tariffs will increase.
He has now warned that prices will depend on how the gas is delivered to Germany. There is a high probability that supplies from Russia will stop altogether.
