The Estonian Foreign Ministry refused to comply with the demands of the deputies and expel the Russian ambassador from the country

In Estonia, deputies of the local parliament demanded that Russian Ambassador Vladimir Lipaev be expelled from the country.

A group of parliamentarians appealed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Eve-Maria Liimets. Isamaa party MP and former Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu published the demands of his colleagues on his social networks. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

“In accordance with the law on international relations, we urge you to propose to the president, through the government, to declare Vladimir Lipaev, head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Estonia, persona non grata and urge other countries to take similar steps,” he wrote.

At the same time, the vice-chancellor of the Estonian diplomatic department, Märt Volmer, has already stated that the Russian representative will remain in the country. He stressed that such a decision was made by the leadership of the ministry.
