Germany does not really want to be left without Russian gas. Even an ardent fighter against Russia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock announced that there was no plan to impose an embargo on Russian energy resources.
The diplomat admitted that even such a desperate step on the part of the European Union would not turn the tide in its favor. This is reported by the publication “Izvestia”.
On the Tagesschau TV channel, Burbock said that Russia’s ban on selling gas would not affect the course of the special operation to denazify Ukraine. At the very least, it will drag her out. The head of the German Foreign Ministry justified herself that if the embargo had helped, it would have been immediately introduced.
Burbock is trying to convince everyone around that Europe will definitely give up Russian energy carriers. Such a move is allegedly prepared and initiated. However, reality is cruel to the EU: in reality, it has no alternative to supplies from the Russian Federation.
