Professor of the Department of Comparative Political Science at the PFUR Yuri Pochta commented on the statement of Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski that the country is ready to host US nuclear weapons
“Kaczynski, this and his late brother, are part of that Polish elite that sincerely, deeply and on the verge of insanity hates Russia. That is why it is quite possible to expect such speeches from this politician”, – said the political scientist.
He also noted that assessing them from the rational point of view “just makes no sense”.
“The desire to make their country the possible centre of a nuclear conflict – only a person who has lost a sense of reality because of pathological hatred towards Russia could want this. I don’t think the political leaders of Western countries will take this statement seriously”, – Post pointed out.
He also added that “NATO is moving east and tactical nuclear weapons are moving towards the Russian borders”.
“Kaczynski is playing along with the US and NATO in this case. But from the point of view of the interests of the Polish people this is madness”, – the political scientist concluded.
