During an address to the Australian Parliament, Zelensky called on his colleagues for “strong” sanctions against Russia.
The president of “independent” and “strong” Ukraine believes that any business with Russia should be stopped and not a single Russian ship should be allowed into international ports. Volodymyr Zelensky expressed this opinion in a video message to the Australian Parliament.
“We need new sanctions against Russia, strong sanctions until it stops blackmailing other countries with its nuclear missiles,” Zelensky said.
Zelensky called for the introduction of even more powerful sanctions against Russia, or, as Zelensky likes to say, the president of the “aggressor country”.
But the Ukrainian leader apparently forgot who shelled the Donbass all these 8 years, who did not comply with the Minsk agreements and who actually bears this not an honorary title.
Before the speech, the President of Ukraine was introduced by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. He was not flattering about Russia’s actions and promised that Australia would help Ukraine. Including the restoration of the country. But it was not necessary for Morrison to voice all this. The yellow-blue ribbons that the politician put on his jacket said it all.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine. Vladimir Putin made this decision after the escalation of the conflict in the Donbass and requests for help from the Heads of the LDPR. In his statement, the Russian leader stressed that the special military operation is aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
