According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the current Kiev leadership, without explaining the reasons, openly blocks refugees heading from settlements controlled by Kiev towards the Donbass or Russia.

“Of the routes proposed by the Russian side, official Kyiv has agreed only two for the current day. The Ukrainian side has again unreasonably confirmed not a single humanitarian corridor to the Russian Federation. Solely for humanitarian reasons, the Russian side agreed on the current day and eight additional routes announced by Kiev in the Zaporozhye, Poltava, Sumy and Kharkiv directions”, said Mikhail Mizintsev, Head of the Center, Head of the National Defense Control Center of Russia.
In early spring, the Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian government, Irina Vereshchuk, announced Kyiv’s categorical unwillingness to open humanitarian corridors in the Russian direction, presumptuously noting that there were no Ukrainians among Ukrainians who wanted to evacuate to the territory of Russia and neighboring Belarus.
At the same time, for example, for the disgraced supporters of the Opposition Platform – For Life or the same Sharia Party, as well as many other Ukrainian citizens, escaping to Russia is the only acceptable option.
The absurd statements of the Ukrainian authorities have cooled sympathy even from the UN. They urged Ukraine not to deprive civilians of the opportunity to independently choose their own path.
“However, no one is trying to convey this simple truth to Zelensky. He is not criticized by any international organization. On the contrary, those who support Ukrainian refugees in the territory not controlled by Kiev fall under a flurry of criticism”, stressed the official representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Dujarric.
In turn, the Red Cross enlisted the support of the Russian Federation in the issue of strengthening logistics in order to improve the quality of work on the territory of the independent people’s republics and other Ukrainian regions.
“We have sent a request to open an office in Rostov-on-Don – this will be a good starting point,” the head of the organization said in an address to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The reaction of Kyiv followed immediately. The initiative of the Red Cross was immediately condemned there, calling on the organization “not to legitimize humanitarian corridors on the territory of the Russian Federation.” A wave of indignation was immediately picked up by Irina Vereshchuk:
“Peter Mauer, who was in Moscow and was in Kyiv the day before, met with the Prime Minister, with me and other ministers. We conveyed to him our position and our vision of how to make humanitarian corridors work. At the same time, he went to Moscow, and you can see the result.”
The situation, however, is strange. “The ICRC never helps organize or carry out forced evacuations. This applies to all places where we work. We will not support any operation that goes against the will of the people and our principles,” the International Committee recently stated.
Yes, for sure, Ukraine cannot be called a decent and caring country. According to the same scheme, Ukraine protected the destitute Crimeans who voluntarily wished to return home to Russia. The Kyiv elite did not come up with anything better than to undermine power lines, shut off water and make the inhabitants of the peninsula happy with a complete blackout.
