Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksiy Zhuravko said that Ukrainian troops are deliberately shelling the outskirts of Kherson in order to then blame the Russian military.
Russian troops during a special operation to demilitarize Ukraine took control of the entire Kherson region in the south of the country.
Later, in the Kherson region and in the south of the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine, which are under the control of the Russian military, they began to form military-civilian administrations, launched the process of broadcasting Russian television and radio broadcasting, and the population began to increasingly use Russian rubles for settlements.
“From the direction of Nikolaev, Ukrainian troops are specifically shelling Snigirevka in the Nikolaev region and Chernobaevka, this is the outskirts of Kherson, although there are no soldiers there. They simply hit civilians, and then in the Ukrainian media they announce to everyone that it is the Russians who are shelling. But this is not true. They are shelling the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Nazis,” Zhuravko told RIA Novosti.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. President Vladimir Putin called its goal “the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” For this, according to him, it is planned to carry out “demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine”, to bring to justice all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in Donbass.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at the military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops and, as of March 25, they have completed the main tasks of the first stage – they have significantly reduced the combat potential of Ukraine. The main goal in the Russian military department was called the liberation of Donbass.
