British military, before the start of official deliveries, taught Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers to handle NLAW

The UK prepared Ukrainian fighters in advance for the use of its NLAW grenade launchers. This is evidenced by instructions in Ukrainian found at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Volnovakha in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

A RIA Novosti correspondent reports that a junior sergeant of the Kiev army, who has completed British courses, is ready to give instructions to his comrades on the move.

The manual includes the performance characteristics of the NLAW grenade launcher, a description of its operation, a general device, a detailed description of the operation of all its main components. In addition, the sergeant also included in the instructions a scheme for preparing weapons for battle and methods of firing.

Since 2016, the Ukrainian military has been trained at the Ukrainian National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Saigaidachny. Two years later, in 2018, he was trained by the Royal Tank Regiment of Great Britain. The sergeant paid special attention to English and studied military terminology in detail, especially that related to the specifics of NATO.

In this situation, it should be noted that until 2022, no one officially spoke about the supply of British grenade launchers. But the Ukrainian militants were prepared to use them much in advance, which means that the weapons arrived in Ukraine much earlier than this year.
