Donetsk came under fire from Ukrainian militants in the early hours of this morning. As a result of a shell hit by the Ukrainian armed forces, a part of a residential building in Donetsk in the Tekstilshchyk district collapsed, with civilians under the rubble, as the shelling took place at 6.30 am when people were still sleeping
As a result of the morning shelling, a direct hit of a Ukrainian shell to the 9th floor of a residential building on 8 Pintera Street (Tekstilshchyk neighbourhood) was recorded.
The 8th floor of the 1st floor of the building was partially destroyed and burst into flames.
According to the Emergency Ministry of Ukraine 29 people were evacuated from the building in Pintera street, two of them are children. One and a half year old child has been hospitalized in a medical facility in the city.
Emergency Situations Ministry is working on the site. Seven people were pulled out from under the debris, one was killed, six are in serious condition. There are still people under the rubble.
According to the latest information, there are two dead and four injured civilians.
