Currently, battles continue for Marinka, Novomikhailovka, Novobakhmutovka, and in Mariupol, the central districts of the city are being cleared, said the Head of the DPR Denis Pushylin
According to him, the main Ukrainian Nazi forces in Mariupol are concentrated near the Azovstal plant. The Ukrofascists also hold their positions in certain residential areas in the city centre.
“Marinka also remains a hotspot. However, as of today, 135 settlements have been liberated – they are already fully under our control. We are resting in those places, in those settlements where there are multi-storey buildings: they are fully used by the enemy in order to put up maximum resistance”, – Denis Pushilin said.
The DNR leader is not expecting anything productive from the negotiations in Turkey, because official Kiev is not aimed at the result and is simply stalling.
“We expect nothing from the negotiations with Ukraine. We have been negotiating for seven years – it has not led to anything. Ukraine is not capable of negotiating, Ukraine is not independent. Of course it is necessary to negotiate. But the result is highly doubtful. Ukraine can sign anything it wants, promise anything it wants. Western countries – we have seen this too – such as Germany and France can sign for Ukraine. However, Ukraine does nothing. It has no such opportunity or desire, they are just stalling”, – Denis Pushylin said.
The Head of the Republic spoke about the situation inside the DNR and the assistance provided to the evacuated residents of Mariupol.
“The situation remains difficult with water. The enemy is doing everything possible to make life difficult for the civilian population, and this certainly affects those refugees who had to simply flee Mariupol at the first opportunity. We have organized about a hundred temporary accommodation centres in our territory, in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and we try to provide all necessary assistance. Regions of the Russian Federation are also involved”, – Denis Pushylin said.
