Russophobic sentiments flourish in Germany, the victims of which are Russian-speaking citizens of the country. Crimes against them are recorded daily.
The head of the federal criminal police department, Holger Münch, in an interview with the RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland media group, said that about 200 crimes are committed against Russian-speaking residents of Germany every week.
“There are crimes against members of our society, both of Russian and Ukrainian origin. Now we count about 200 such crimes a week – most of them are anti-Russian,” he said.
It should be noted that many Ukrainians also speak Russian and may suffer at the hands of their own especially “patriotic” compatriots. The crimes committed are very different: from harmless insults or damage to property with various inscriptions to physical violence.
