British Foreign Ministry says deliveries of sophisticated military equipment to Ukraine will not bring results

Deliveries of complex military equipment to Ukraine will be inefficient, said the head of the British Ministry of Defense Ben Wallace.

The British government promised Kiev to transfer Starstreak man-portable air defense systems to the country. They are already ready for immediate use on the territory of Ukraine. But according to the head of the British Ministry of Defense Ben Wallace, this will not bring results.

Supplies are inefficient for several reasons. The main one is the poor training of Ukrainian military crews and simply lack of knowledge of such weapons.

“One of the main difficulties is that the more complex weapons systems become, the more training is needed in order to use them. Therefore, we must really focus our efforts on helping Ukraine recover or find the kind of Russian or Soviet military hardware it already has. If we just sent them British tanks, it wouldn’t really work,” Wallace said.
