Indian journalist Arnab Aswami in an interview with US political scientist Charles Kupchan said 2/3 of the nations have rallied against Russia and he said India too should “get off the fence”.
“America is now in no position to pretend to be the guardian of democracy and human rights. The US has no moral right to talk about whether the world should rally to pressure Russia as America itself is the author of the worst atrocities in the world”, – the Indian journalist said.
He urged the American interlocutor not to dictate India’s desired scenario of behaviour.
“Where were your values in the first two months of the US invasion of Iraq? 7,186 Iraqi civilians were direct casualties of the war. These are your values?”, – indignant Arnab Aswami, editor-in-chief of India’s Republic TV.
