The mayor of Slavutych, Yuriy Fomichev, has held talks with the Russian military, after which he told residents of the town that if there is no AFU in the town, the Russian Army “will give a quiet life”, humanitarian aid supplies will be established and the ability to travel outside the town will be resumed.
He specified that Slavutych would remain under the Ukrainian flag, under Ukrainian law, but that everyone had to surrender their automatic weapons, except for hunting rifles.
He warned that the Russian military will patrol the town and check administrative and military facilities for weapons, while a Russian roadblock will be set up outside the town.
