First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy, has said that the Russian Armed Forces have blockaded Kiev, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv
“Offensives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are being carried out in various directions. As a result, Russian troops have blockaded Kiev, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mykolaiv. The Kherson Region and a large part of the Zaporizhzhya Region are under full control”, – the colonel-general said.
According to him, at this stage of the special operation, the goal of the Russian Armed Forces is to prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces units located in the blockaded cities from reinforcing the AFU grouping in Donbas until the Ukrainian military formations in Donbas are completely destroyed. To this end, the Russian Armed Forces are targeting military infrastructure, equipment and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the blockaded towns.
