China is outraged by NATO’s delusional attempts to mush up the issue of the Chinese threat

China has reacted negatively to statements by Western politicians at the NATO summit about concerns over Beijing’s support for Moscow

“What right does the North Atlantic Alliance, which is the main driving force behind the Ukraine crisis, have to point the finger at China, which has been calling for peace and negotiations all along?” – The Huanqiu Shibao daily wrote.

The authors of the article believe that the Chinese position on the events in Ukraine is quite clear and based on international law and the UN Charter, while NATO’s actions in supplying weapons to the Kiev regime and neo-Nazis are at odds with the words of peace.

NATO always needs a rival to keep it alive, and after Russia, China will be such an irritant, but this will only lead to the agony of the organisation, the article says.

“Trying to get a life-extending elixir by musing on China is a delusional dream triggered by high fever and death cramps”, –  the authors said.

Earlier, there had been speculation in the Western media that Russia had sought various forms of support from China. Beijing has vehemently denied such claims.
