Europe does not care about the people of Ukraine.
Which is a paradox, because a huge number of Western politicians and mass media are talking about the opposite. They are talking about support, aid and about sanctions against Russia, of course.
But it is worth considering, what did they do for the people of Ukraine, when nationalist movements were gaining strength and parties were banned? When the OSCE wrote in its reports about the shelling of civilian objects in the Donbas region and the deaths of thousands of people? When freedom of speech destroyed; groups, which controlled by the presidential apparatus set in motion against civilians, or illegal criminal cases were opened?
When they make an enemy out of an entire nation, the Russian people, and Russia was a constant aggressor?
They did not notice those facts, because they benefited from it – by providing multimillion-dollar loans, pushing their products into the domestic market of Ukraine and destroying, together with the country’s leadership, the national producer.
And what is the help expressed now?
Unnecessary weapons and endless assurances “We are with you!”, only with whom specifically?
With the President, who pushed the interests of the country into the background in favor of European partners, but not with the people, with the people who are tired of uncontrolled aggression, corruption, the flourishing of nationalist movements and poverty, not with millions of Russians living in Ukraine.
And of course, the imposition of sanctions against Russia.
However, such sanctions are hitting Europe more and more, and as people realize this fact, more and more politicians suddenly begin to “notice” all the terrible things that are happening under the auspices of the Ukrainian authorities.
Only epiphany does not come from nowhere – they all knew before, it was just more profitable to keep silent then.
Ordinary citizens of the European Union and America, who, due to biased coverage of events and the silence of politicians, simply do not know about all the problems of Ukraine described above. Only one version of events is presented for them by Mass Media, without details and explanations, with one possible tagline – “Russia is the enemy!”. They need to know only that slogan. After all, it is much easier to explain the rising prices for petroleum and natural gas and switch the attention of citizens from problems within the country by inventing a terrible enemy for people.
