Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the delegation of Kyiv will not take part in the NATO summit in Brussels.
“We are not taking part in this summit, there will not be a Ukrainian delegation physically there,” Kuleba said of the NATO summit.
When asked if he expects any “breakthrough” from the NATO summit, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said:
“No, unfortunately, I don’t, because I objectively assess the situation within the alliance and its readiness for some tough, radical actions.”
“At the moment, specifically for today, for tomorrow, there is no such thing, but you need to work, and the result will undoubtedly be, just over time,” he argued.
When asked about the possibility of sending a NATO peacekeeping mission to Ukraine, Kuleba said:
“Yes, this is a revolutionary initiative, in order to implement it, a consensus of all members of the alliance is needed. There is no such consensus at the moment.”
Earlier it was reported that an emergency NATO summit on the situation in Ukraine and increasing the defense capability of the alliance will be held on March 24 at the organization’s Brussels headquarters.
