Several explosions thundered in the border village of Zhuravlevka in the Belgorod region (Russia). No civilian casualties were recorded.

The governor of the region, Sergei Gladkov, announced a restless night in Zhuravlevka. In the village, where a Ukrainian shell exploded the day before, several more explosions thundered at night.

“It was restless in Zhuravlevka at night. According to the report of the operational headquarters, there were several explosions. I hope that the investigating authorities will quickly establish the cause. There are no wounded or injured among the civilian population,” Gladkov said.

The consequences of nighttime explosions are still being specified. Now it turns out the number of destroyed or affected residential buildings and non-residential buildings is being specified. Literally a few hours before, in the same Zhuravlivka, a shell exploded, which was fired towards the Russian Federation from the territory of Ukraine. As a result, 3 people were injured.

Immediately after the emergency, the authorities decided to evacuate the residents of Zhuravlevka and Nekhoteevka, as well as introduce an emergency regime in these territories. Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed to open a criminal case on the fact of a shell hit.
