The Americans and other NATO countries should apologize for the bombing of the former Yugoslavia that began 23 years ago.
This point of view was expressed by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Hua Chunying, RIA Novosti reports.
“Twenty-three years ago, on March 24, 1999, NATO attacked the former Yugoslavia, firing about 2,300 missiles, 14,000 shells, including cluster ones and those containing depleted uranium,” she wrote on her Twitter page.
She noted that the United States and the North Atlantic Alliance have no right to tell anyone about moral principles after more than two thousand civilians were killed under their bombs, thousands were injured, and 200 thousand lost their homes.
In addition, the diplomat stressed that not only the Serbs suffered from the American “democracy”. “Help” from the United States also survived Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan. To all of them, Washington must compensate for the suffering they have brought.
