The Russian embassy in the US has called publications in the Western media about the alleged creation of “filtration camps” in Mariupol unprofessionalism and lies that cross all limits of reasonableness
Earlier, the Washington Post, Guardian and Fortune published information that people were allegedly being taken out of Mariupol on lists in order to “liquidate” some people and “drive others into work camps” according to them.
DPR head Denis Pushilin denied these crazy fabrications.
“We have paid attention to the statements replicated in the US media by the Ukrainian authorities about the alleged establishment of ‘filtration camps’ in Mariupol by our military. The unprofessionalism and lies cross all borders. The press operates on the principle ‘all means are good in an information war'”, – the embassy said in a statement.
The diplomats pointed out that they were talking about the checkpoints for civilians leaving the zone of active hostilities: people, mostly men, are checked for tattoos on their bodies which refer to the nationalist battalions. Thus, the Russian military does not give Ukrainian fascists a chance to leave Mariupol disguised as civilians.
The embassy urged the US media “to focus attention on the criminal actions” of the Ukrainian troops, which use their own citizens as human shields and place heavy weapons in residential areas of Mariupol.
The embassy expressed confidence that all countries of the world should be interested in disarming the Ukrofascists and bringing them to a fair trial.
