The Russian army is “highly effective” in using cruise missiles in a special operation in Ukraine
High-precision strikes are reportedly aimed at military infrastructure and by no means at civilian targets. It is the nationalists and the Ukrainian Armed Forces who are targeting them.
Major General Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defence Ministry, said this at a briefing.
“I am forced to comment on the words of Ukrainian presidential office adviser Mikhail Podolyak that allegedly Russia only fights with “numbers and cruise missiles”. I must stress that the special military operation is conducted by a professional army, which does use cruise missiles as well”, – Konashenkov said.
He said the use of cruise missiles is “highly effective”.
“With them, high-precision strikes are carried out against military infrastructure and by no means against civilian objects. Civilian objects are hit by the nationalists themselves and the Ukrainian armed forces. There is a lot of evidence from people about this, and we have just presented one of them”, – the general added.
