WSJ expert acknowledged that sanctions harm the US and Europe, not Russia

All the sanctions that the United States and the European Union frantically impose on Russia will not have the desired effect.

This conclusion was made by analysts of the American edition of The Wall Street Journal, reports RIA Novosti. In a new publication, they stated that these restrictive measures are not capable of harming the Russian Federation, but the West itself will be seriously affected by them.

The author of the article, Nicholas Lambert (writer and expert on history and economics), noted that all sanctions are not as terrible as they are made to be. If we compare the current restrictions with the earthquake, then at best they reach the C mark.

In addition, the expert drew attention to the fact that the main damage falls on the authors of the sanctions themselves. So, for example, Europe no longer really believes in the States. Lambert warned that patriotism and a sense of unity were already weakening and the good attitude of the “allies” would have to be bought. And the funds for this are unlikely to be enough.
