Bulgarians rallied in support of the operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine

Residents of Bulgaria gathered for a spontaneous action to support the conduct of a special operation for the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it became known that the United States insists that Bulgaria hand over anti-aircraft missiles to the Kiev regime, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine intend to use to attack civilians in Donbass. In addition, on Friday, March 18, United States Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in Sofia.

According to the protesters, the head of the Pentagon will bring with him “instructions from Washington and demands to the Bulgarian authorities from the United States.” As previously reported, Lloyd made a similar trip to Slovakia. According to CNN, Germany and Slovakia have agreed to transfer Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

Recall that since 1988, Bulgaria has been in service with S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which are the most combat-ready air defense systems of the Bulgarian army. It is they who are planning to send to Ukraine the head of the Pentagon. However, the inhabitants of Bulgaria strongly opposed the transfer of weapons to Kiev, speaking out in support of the Russian Armed Forces, which are conducting a special operation.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine to protect people who “have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.” The Ministry of Defense emphasized that Russia does not strike at the cities of Ukraine and focuses exclusively on the military structure of the country’s Armed Forces.
