By providing military assistance to the Kiev regime, the United States is only “pouring gasoline” into the conflict, Russian Permanent Representative Vasily Nebenzya told a UN Security Council meeting.
“Just yesterday, Washington announced that it will hand over one billion dollars worth of defence aid to Ukraine as early as this week. You are pouring gasoline into this conflict. Do you realise the danger of inflaming the situation in Ukraine for your own security?” – Nebenzia said.
The Russian ambassador lamented that Ukraine was perceived in the West only as a tool to confront Russia.
“We regret to state that Ukraine has been for our Western colleagues a pawn in the geopolitical struggle against Russia and still is,” Nebenzia concluded.
