Chinese authorities have spoken out against U.S. military support to Ukraine because the transfer of lethal weapons to Kiev puts the restoration of peace and stability in question, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian
“China has provided Ukraine with food, baby soluble milk, sleeping bags and cotton blankets, moisture-proof bedding as humanitarian aid. As for the US, it has handed over lethal weapons to Kiev. Can these weapons bring back peace and stability, or will they lead to more civilian casualties and injuries? The people of Ukraine are more in need of food and sleeping bags”, – the Chinese Foreign Ministry official said.
Zhao Lijian also called US attempts to put pressure on China over Ukraine irresponsible and futile.
